Raw Garlic May Reduce Cancer Risk

A new study has found that garlic may help prevent many chronic health problems and, more significantly, may prevent lung cancer. Consuming raw garlic may cut the risk of lung cancer for non-smokers by 44% according to researchers from the Jiangsu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention in China. Raw garlic contains a chemical called allicin which is created when garlic is chopped, mashed or diced. Allicin holds anti-inflammatory properties and can also reduce damage to cells caused by free radicals. Researchers are unsure if cooked garlic may have the same benefits as raw garlic. More here
