Bypass Surgery Carries Low Risk Of Cognitive Impairment

A new study suggests that individuals undergoing bypass surgery should not be particularly concerned with long-term memory loss and cognitive impairments. Previous studies found that individuals having bypass surgery may be at a higher risk of suffering long-term cognitive impairments post-procedure. Ola Selnes, neurologist from The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore suggests that most patients recover from any memory loss within an average of 3 months. More here
