Ginger Proves To Be An Effective Natural Painkiller

The healing powers of ginger have been known for thousands of years and have been used to help with everything from digestion to cancer. Now, research shows it may also be an effective pain killer. In a six-week study from the University of Miami of patients with chronic knee pain, two-thirds reported less pain after taking a ginger extract. Christopher D. Black, Ph.D., assistant professor of kinesiology at Georgia College and State University, says ginger relieves pain by blocking an enzyme that is key to the inflammatory process. Two to three teaspoons a day, added to a stir-fry or soup or made into a tea, may help boost your body’s ability to fight pain naturally. More here and here.
