Providing care for a loved one is often draining – both physically and emotionally – which is why we encourage caregivers to take some time to focus on caring for themselves! Learning how to better handle the stress and demands of caregiving can help you regain peace and balance in your life.
Our friends at Caring for your Spirit, in partnership with the Foundation for Senior Living and the Area Agency on Aging, are pleased to present a very special Tele-class series for family caregivers. These classes will be offered, free of charge, once a month and will focus on Empowered Self-Care.
Knowing the time constraints that caregivers face, these seminars can be heard from the convenience of one’s home. Classes will take place live, via telephone and an online Yahoo Support Group. This way, family caregivers can receive support without having to leave their loved one.
The first class, entitled, “Want to Care for Others Better? You Can, thru Empowered Self-Care,” will take place on Tuesday September 28, from 4:30-5:30 pm PST (7:30 EST). Classes will be led by Courtney Long, MSW, LC, CHt, Self-Care Specialist.
To register, contact Francyne at 602-297-1840 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
